Daniel In The Lions' Den Dallas Theatre reviews
An uneventful Mariah
Fresh from the Imperfect Angel tour, I was left amazed. She could not sell out for the Motown venue that holds only 5,000 fans! That shocked me. I had high hopes for the beautiful songstress, however, I am left with more feelings of disappointment than lingering memories.
After the 90-minute concert, I knew why. She seemed like a caged animal walking from stage right to stage left, and back and forth. Unfortunately, the dancers were dressed in drab, mono-chromatic attire, which did not flatter their amazing figures. She has lost the knack for really getting involved in her own music. Debra Allen did the choreography, but for such a talented woman to create the scenes, it seemed choppy at times. She hardly engaged the audience and appeared afraid to be out-done by her talented back-up dancers.
Daniel In The Lions' Den did one encore and then left the stage at 10 pm. Seriously??? Yep, sure did. I can re-coup my over $100.00 per ticket, but I lost out on some valuable time. I'm sorry to say but she's better than what she delivered, and left me feeling more than disappointed than appreciative and uplifted.
